Congratulations!!

Congratulations to Heather and Jesse...They were married yesterday. Gorgeous bride, handsome groom, and beautiful ceremony. I did not take any pictures of the festivities, but got one of Nathan holding the favor - a delicious monogrammed sugar cookie. We love you both and wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!

What Dreams May Come

Little is more precious than a sleeping baby. I take so many of my boy sleeping, he always looks so peaceful and innocent.

Oh, So Wicked

This weekend was the Wicked Girls Weekend. We had a wonderful time at the musical, it was so entertaining and I loved the songs. This was a last hoorah before Heather's wedding this weekend. So Amy, Beverly, Heather, Lindsey, and I had dinner at a delicious, quaint Italian resturaunt called Tucci's...Highly recommended, then it was off to the PAC. To top the evening off, Lindsey made adorable, yummy cupcakes for us and a CD of the songs from Wicked - I particularly love "Popular" and "Defying Gravity". I listened to them all the way home. I did not have my camera, but both Amy and Lindsey have some photos on their blogs.
Nathan came with me and my parents watched him. It was a also a good weekend because I was able to celebrate my bro's 32nd birthday and spend some time with my parents.

Eight Months

Nathan Hayes has reached the eight month milestone!! The time has flown by, it is hard to believe that he will soon be crawling...Yes, that is right! Eight months has brought a desire to move. He has been rolling like crazy lately, and this past weekend, he started making moves towards the crawling stage. So, in a few weeks, we will likely have a mobile little man!
Other "firsts" over the past month have included a second tooth - they are coming in a little
crooked and are so cute. He has started to like the green veggies more and we have experimented with several fruits. I also found these treats called Baby Mum-Mum that he likes, they are messy, but keep him entertained! He is about 19 lbs, we think, and seems longer by the day. He loves Baby Superstar videos - especially the farmer one. He LOVES to watch Daddy on the tractor and 4-wheeler. And he still loves Wyatt, Virgil, and the other animals.
He is such a wonderfully happy baby, always full of smiles. We continue to be blessed with his health and good nature.

Here are some photos of the new moves.
He was getting ready to close his eyes, so he looks sleepy-eyed in this one, but you can see his two teeth.

Vacation, All I Ever Wanted...

We returned on Tuesday from a quick getaway to my parents home in rural northwest Arkansas. It was a long weekend trip, but just what we needed. We relaxed, went to the river and let Nathan experience the frigid temps of the White River, grilled out, and generally tried to detox from the stresses of the clinic. I would have organized the photos better, but am having trouble with blogger, so they are random.

Fourth of July Fun

Nathan's first fourth of July was spent at Great Granddad Connie and Great Grandma Loretta's house. Lots of family were in attendance and it was a quick, but great visit.

Nathan's first meeting with cousin Clay - they are about a month apart. He is bigger than Nathan and just adorable.

Bumbo Beware

I have used the bumbo chair off and on with Nathan, he plays in it pretty well. As he has become more active over the past months, though, he has not liked to just sit in . Today he started doing something funny while sitting in it...I compare it to a pelvic thrust-type movement.
