It is hilarious!
And it has been ages since I posted a recipe, so here is a Paula Deen Squash casserole...A good, old southern treat!*
2 c cooked, mashed squash
2 c Ritz cracker crumbs
1 c evaporated milk
1 c shredded cheese
1 c chopped onion
2 eggs, lightly beater
1 t salt
1 t pepper
Pinch of sugar
6 T butter
Place squash in a large bowl. Add cracker crumbs, milk, cheese, and onion and stir well. Stir in eggs, salt, pepper, sugar, and butter, and pour into a greased 1-qt casserole. Bake at 350 F for 40 minutes.
Mine was actually nothing like this as I used zucchini because I found a HUGE one hiding from me in the garden, did not have Ritz crackers, and thought 1 c of cheese and 6 T of butter was insane. But it still turned out delicious, so feel free to experiment!

I have had that recipe marked in my cookbook all summer and am finally trying it tonight. What did you use instead of cracker crumbs? I've heard of some using croutons. It looks yummy!
