Troublemakers

Our closet is a source of interest for the boys.  They will try to shut the other one in there, hide in there together with flash lights, try on our shoes, or hang on the clothing bars.  The other night, Trace and I were on the couch and I hear some commotion from the vicinity of our room, then hear Nathan say, "Mommy, we made a mess with the shoes!!"  

Knowing this would be good, I brought the camera.  They has pushed all but about two pairs onto the floor and were sitting on the little ledge.  They were as pleased as punch with themselves!

Snow

We were graced with snow last week that lasted less than a day, but definitely made it memorable for the boys.  Nathan was so excited about the prospect of eating some.  He woke up and said,"It's full!!"  Meaning the ground was covered.  We went outside immediately so he could have a taste.

After breakfast, we all bundled up and headed outside.  Wade was so layered, he could hardly move!

Hello!

Happy 2012!

Not too much going on around here besides my obsession with Pinterest.  I think I made ten recipes in the last week...My kitchen aid mixer has gotten a workout!

Winners include the following:

This is really, really good!  Nathan and I are enjoying one right now.

I think I ate three-quarters of the pan myself!

Really interesting!  Makes a lot, and they are very big.

Even the leftovers were yummy, which I did not think they would be.

I did not have some of the ingredients, and some of my family
(Trace) does not like peas, so I switched for green beans.  The foil packed thing was weird too.

I wish I could post all the workouts I have been doing, but, sadly, I haven't tried those out yet...

Puddles!

The Pacifier

Both of my boys have been pacifier children.  Wade may be slightly more attached than Nathan ever was.  Wade is a much more orally fixated child in general,now that he is walking more, it has gotten better, but he still puts some awful items into his mouth.

This may be his most interesting pacifier in a pinch.

A little nightlight...I did not provide this for him, he found it all by himself, we have a wonderful improviser on our hands!

Get Your Motor Running

The classic big wheel, such a shame that they are not made anymore.  Luckily, Granddad found one in creek bed at the land!  This thing has seen better days.  The large front wheel has some dirt in it, so it is loud, and it is missing the seat, but Trace has rigged a little back-rest up.  It has provided lots of entertainment for both boys!
