Woo-Hoo Jumperoo

Everyone in our household enjoys the jumperoo. Both Trace and I are so thankful for the time it gives us. I did not register for one because they take up a ton of space and I was not sure how much of a necessity it was. But Nathan gets tired of being on his back, and we can't hold him all the time, so the jumperoo is the perfect solution...This is a loaner, and I am in debt to our friends that loaned it!

Nathan jumps like a wild man in this thing, it is so funny.

Wyatt even like it, but he steers clear when Nathan is working it.

Back from Recipe Hiatus

Ok, my goal of posting weekly recipes has been lacking of late. I tried a new meatloaf recipe yesterday that begged to be shared. I love meatloaf...I am not a fan of the name, it sounds unappetizing, but I love it nonetheless. I am always trying to find a new take and I tried a winner this time. This recipe came from an email called Top Secret Insider's Recipes and is supposedly Boston Market's Meatloaf. Very easy to make, super good, a real comfort food, especially when served with a side of buttermilk mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

1 c tomato sauce (like Hunt's in a can)
1 1/2 T BBQ sauce (you can't beat Head Country)
1 T granulated sugar
1 1/2 lb ground sirloin
6 T all-purpose flour
3/4 t salt
1/2 t onion powder
1/4 t ground black pepper
dash of garlic powder

Preheat oven to 400 F

Mix tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Heat mixture until it begins to bubble, stirring often, then remove form heat.

In a large bowl, add all but 2 T of tomato sauce to the meat. Mix sauce into meat, then add remaining ingredients. Mix again.

Pack the meat mixture into a loaf pan, cover with foil, bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil, drain fat,. With loaf still in the pan, cut into slices. Pour remaining sauce over meatloaf. Return to the oven and cook an additional 30 minutes, uncovered. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

If anyone is interested in this cookbook, I will gladly email it to you...There are all sorts of restaurant recipes in it.
